Touch

I had only gotten my original Touch Pro back in January, and of course I had to get the Touch Pro2 once it came out for AT&T. Of course, I was not eligible for a full upgrade so I had to lay down the 500 bucks. That’s alright though, totally worth it. The phone is snappier, has a larger screen, and a beautiful keyboard. Its a dream to use. Anyway, enough about the phone.

Picked up Halo 3: ODST but haven’t gotten around to playing much of it. Also picked up Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Dead Space Extraction. I think I am almost done with Dead Space, and it’s been quite enjoyable so far.

Halloween was fun. It certainly was not any of the drama that was last year, but it was just plain fun. Had dinner at CPK, and saw a bunch of interest costumes. Photos can be found on my Flickr account.

And that’s about it. Despite the fact that my last entry was ages ago, not much has really been happening. Work, games, friends, drama. Always the same.

Hiking

Feeling the past moving in.
Letting a new day begin.
Hold to the time that you know.
You don’t have to move on to let go.

You’ve done more than you know.
Now it’s time to say goodbye.

Party All The Time

Party All The Time

It’s just about 3 AM right now. I’m sitting at the airport viaduct waiting for a bus so I can get home. I just left a house party all the way in Ewa Beach. Lots of fun, drama, drunk people, and a small scuffle with the neighbors. All normal ‘house party’ events. Anyway, it was getting late, and my colleagues had taken quite a liking to the alcohol available at the party. Brandon was slightly intoxicated, David was drunk and marking his territory, and Fred and Meilin had their own issues. Fred and Meilin headed out first, and I was tasked with taking Brandon and David home. Problem is, that David was the one who drove to begin with. So his car is the only option I had.

I took the wheel of David’s Scion tC (a very sexy car I might add), and took Brandon home first. An easy drive to Mililani. As I delivered Brandon home safe and sound, he wished me well and goodnight. I then started the drive to Salt Lake to take David home. Mind you, the whole time I was driving I had my own share of drinks from the party and was tired from previous days. I reached David’s house safe and sound, circled around the top of his street just like he always does (as to avoid scratching the underside of Kiyoshi), and carefully parked the car in the garage. I’m not strong by any means, but I attempted to help David inside the house. He plopped into bed, and I covered him with a blanket. I made sure his alarm was set, seeing as how he worked in the morning. I made sure everything was good, and then I turned off his light. I walked over and told him goodnight and that he better wake up for work. I don’t know if he heard me, but that’s alright. I shut his door and walked out of his house locking the door behind me. I took one last look at the car I drove, then walked down from Salt Lake to the airport viaduct, where I am currently.

It’ll probably take me hours to get home, as there are no running busses at this time, but that’s fine. Everyone else is safe at home, and that’s all that matters to me. My legs hurt, I have a headache and I can still feel the alcohol. I think I’m gonna lie down on the bench for a bit.

I hope the rest of you are safe at home, no matter what the night has done to you.

As for me, I’m a wreck, but still alive. So I’ll catch you all on the flip side.

Another day, another adventure.

For Miles

Sunday July 19, 2009

On that day, all of the scales will swing to set all the wrongs to right.

Life is different for us all. Everyone is made up of their own environments and experiences. We see those that stand beside us and realize that we are all very different. There are things we will never become, things we will never see, and things that we can only dream of.

A big part of life are the people we allow into it. The people we allow to make up who we are. Most of these people we choose because of our environment; they just happen to be around at a certain time, and therefore there is a common bond, and thus a connection is made. With how important friends are, you would think we’d put more time into choosing these individuals. We place our faith and trust in these people. We expect more of them, and they probably do the same. Yet still we base these connections on little more than text on a page or a short introduction.

Anyway, just a little insight into some recent thoughts. My observation, if you will. Now, to take my head out of the clouds for a second…

The trip to California was absolutely awesome; something I will never forget. Couldn’t take the bank anymore so I removed it from my life. I do not like sunburn and its effects. Made lots of new friends, but lost some along the way. Bought a new wallet. Running on Windows 7. Been doing lots of running, sit-ups and push-ups. Trying to watch my eating as well, but that is turning out harder than I thought. Watched the latest Harry Potter movie and was disappointed. Lots of new music to listen to. Kicked David’s ass in Halo and billiards. Hiking on Monday.

I’m tired. I just want to sleep for a few weeks.

Reboot

Friday May 15, 2009

It’s time to start over.

Yesterday, I finally rolled out an update to my website. I’ve spent a few weeks on it, and while I’m not completely done, I felt that it was complete enough for actual use. I’ve designed the site to be more informative, connecting you to any and all information about me. I’ve made numerous other changes and additions, and most importantly, I’ve changed the name. I feel that since the new site focuses much more heavily on me, it should be titled to reflect that. So what better name to use than that of my own online persona.

Some things to note: I’ve designed the site to work in Internet Explorer 8, and found that it also works perfectly in the latest revisions of Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. There are some kinks to work out in Internet Explorer 7, and I have completely dropped support for Internet Explorer 6 and below.

With that out of the way, I have noticed that I haven’t written an entry for quite some time. Things have changed since the last entry, and clearly there have been many updates (and lots of new photos as well). Obviously I can’t cover everything here (well I could, but i’ll spare you the details), so i’ll just summarize everything like I normally do.

May marks my one year anniversary with American Savings Bank. Saw Star Trek (two times so far) and it was absolutely awesome. Three (almost four) months with Phil so far. Coughing like crazy and I don’t know why. Started redecorating my room - moving things around and buying new furniture. Finally got a new computer, and bought it a 1TB hard drive and a new video card. Congratulations to Amanda and Noel for finally tying the knot. Got to hang with Julie and exchanged words with Rven. Back to playing LoTRO again - how I missed you. Finally got to visit the Arizona Memorial and it was just as I had imagined: boring. Went to Kawaii Kon for the first time as a regular attendee and not staff. Sister got a new dog: Domo! Took a trip with Phil to Tokyo and I had an absolutely amazing experience there. Gained an addiction to Genki Sushi and Spicy Tuna anything. Bought a Nintendo DSi but spent considerably less on video games so far than in previous years. Stepped into a Target store for the first time. Learned how to get around UH Manoa even if I don’t go there. Made many new friends (and of course, always hoping to make more). Learning more about myself, even though I thought I was pretty much complete. Bought myself a copy of Borat and Stranger Than Fiction - love those movies. Caught up with the times a little with my first Bluetooth headset for my mobile phone. Tried out Yogurtland, Menchie’s, Red Mango, and Orange Tree - so far Orange Tree is the best when it comes to frozen yogurt, but Milano Freezer beats them all.

Also, yesterday was my birthday, and I enjoyed it in the company of my friends and boyfriend. I had much fun, and I appreciate my boyfriend throwing it all together. Thank you.
